These terms govern the use of the Clarion Chrome extension and teacher dashboard by schools, teachers, and students.

What Clarion Is

Clarion gives teachers visibility into writing activity and document changes in Google Docs, organized in a teacher dashboard. Clarion provides information for teacher review and student conversations. It does not make decisions about academic misconduct.

Accounts and Class Codes

Teachers are responsible for their accounts and for the class codes they share with students. Students join a class using a code provided by their teacher and by installing the Chrome extension on a school-managed device.

Acceptable Use

Clarion is intended for classroom use by schools. Users agree not to misuse the extension or dashboard, attempt to bypass how it works, or use information from Clarion outside a school's academic-integrity process.

Billing

Clarion is offered on monthly and annual subscription plans. Subscriptions are billed in advance and may be cancelled according to the terms shown at checkout.

Disclaimer

Clarion is provided as is. It gives teachers additional information and earlier visibility, but it is not a complete or infallible system and does not guarantee detection of any specific instance of academic misconduct.
